Jenny Griffes, owner/director

Jenny started her dance career 25 years ago at a local non-profit, where she grew a small program into a thriving school with a successful competition team.   She is a guest teacher at private studios in the Charlotte area.  In addition,  Jenny also has contracted with high school musical theater productions and City of Charlotte events, receiving awards for her work.   Jenny's certifications include Rhythm Works Integrative Dance, which provides the tools to successfully teach dance to kids with Autism, Down syndrome & special needs students, Dance Masters of America and Youth Protection Advocates in Dance.  She is also an active member of  Dance Studio Owners Association.  A believer in continuing her training, Jenny has attended workshops with Rhee Gold, Anne Green-Gilbert (Brain-Compatible Dance Education), Duane Pitman (Little People's Creative Workshop), Leap N' Learn, Kindermusik, Preschool Dance Teachers Workshop, and Studio Success Formula.   Jenny's philosophy is to help students find their own creativity and help them achieve personal goals through movement. ​

Ashley Baker, owner/competition director 

Ashley has 14 years of experience in the dance industry as an instructor and manager.  She received her BA in dance education and her graduate certificate in arts administration from the University of North Carolina Charlotte,   She has received numerous awards as a tap dancer and as a choreographer.   Ms. Ashley has extensive experience working with young children in dance as well as in a preschool setting.   She grew up as a competitive dancer in Mint Hill and now enjoys managing the competition team for UCPA.

Mik Armstrong, Instructor

Ms. Mik has been teaching in various degrees for the past 5 years, teaching special education, ESL, yoga and art.  Originally from Las Vegas, Mik fell in love with Charlotte while completing her studies at UNC Charlotte.  She grew up in the competitive dance world and is an active acro yoga member in our community.  Mik currently works in the mental health field serving families with children with special needs.  Besides her work she is passionate about art and design as well as health and wellness.  When not teaching she is often at home cooking new vegan recipes, reading a book on the patio and of course dancing and doing yoga.  Her favorite styles of dance are tap and acro.  She enjoys watching modern and ballet the most.

Logan Kendrick, Instructor

Ms. Logan has been dancing for more than 22 years and teaching for 12 year.  She graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in dance peformance.  In her spare time she enjoys making artwork, jewelry and writing.,  She plans to write a book one day and earn her master's in dance therapy.  Logan recently returned to Charlotte after working at DisneyWorld.   She also works with Fuzion Force Dance Agency, with locations in Charlotte, Atlanta and LA, focusing on hip hop, contemporary and jazz.

Victoria Harmon, Instructor

Ms. Victoria is attending the nursing program at UNCC.  She started dancing with Ms. Jenny at the age of 2 in mommy and me classes.  She has a special talent for working with our youngest dancers.  Her favorite style of dance is ballet.  When she's not studying or dancing, she enjoys playing with her 3 dogs.

Cimone Davis, Instructor

Ms. Cimone is one of our creative and fun preschool dance instructors.  She is also a lead instructor at Concord Children Academy.   She is pursuing a BA in elementary education from Western Governors University and is certified with Eat, Play, Grow and Be Active Kids.  Cimone also enjoys taking adult dance at UCPA when she is not working with our youngest students.
