Important Changes due to COVID-19

Upstage Center of Performing Art's Procedures & Protocols in response to COVID-19

UCPA is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all our workers and customers. To ensure that, we have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our workplaces and communities, and that requires full cooperation among our workers, management, and customers. Only through this cooperative effort can we establish and maintain the safety and health of our dance studio.

Our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and North Carolina Department of Health guidelines, federal OSHA standards related to COVID-19

  • Hygiene  etiquette

  • Customer controls and protections for drop-off and pick-up

  • Housekeeping, including cleaning, disinfecting and decontamination. This includes cleaning common areas and equipment between classes.

  • Prompt identification and isolation of sick persons

  • Communications and training that will be provided to managers and workers

  • Masks are required for anyone over the age of 5 entering the building.  We encourage all of our students to wear a mask.

  • The lobby remains closed with the exception of student drop off.

  • We continue to offer virtual options for students who are unable to attend

  • in person and also for parent observation.  Links are posted in internal studio communication.

  • Parents who need to help preschoolers with separation may join class with their child as we work toward taking class independently.  Parents in this circumstance will be expected to participate in the class with their child.

Additional information will be updated as it becomes available.

Thank you in advance for your continued support.
